About Valley Driving School
Valley Driver Training was started back in 1999 by Jamie Fitchett. Jamie retired from the driving industry back in February 2018, and the business came up for sale.
Shelley Moir has worked as a Driver Instructor sub-contractor for Valley Driver Training for the last thirteen years and knew that the next logical step was to buy this business and keep the tradition of being “Sudbury’s Favourite Driving School” alive and well.
We currently have a team of six Driving Instructors and service all Greater Sudbury for your one-on-one driving lessons.

My name is Shelley Moir, and I am the new owner of Valley Driver Training. I was somewhat of a late bloomer, in that I did not get my Driver’s Licence until I was 25 years old. But once I experienced the freedom of being able to go where I want, whenever I wanted too, I asked myself “Why did I wait so long?” I discovered that I love to drive. Couple that with my enjoyment of teaching, going into the driver education field just seemed the right path for me to follow. I have been an instructor with Valley Driver Training for the last 13 years. But my story does not end there. I have become involved with the Driving Assessment and Rehab Services program where I have opportunities to work with drivers who have had their licences medically suspended and are working towards reinstatement. I also work closely with Canadian Pro Drivers, in their corporate division focusing on Defensive Driving Techniques for the professional driver. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment for me. I am proud to be the new owner of this business and hope to carry on it’s strong tradition of being “Sudbury’s Favourite Driving School.”
My name is Lise Lanteigne I have been a driving instructor for 11 years now. Time goes by fast when you enjoy what you do for a living. Driving has always been my career. I drove a Handy Transit Bus for 19 years and delivered at the mines for two years, then this ..My satisfaction is when I see the smiles and excitement on my students’ faces. Also watching them build confidence in themselves and actually realizing that driving is not as complicated as it seemed. When you enjoy what you do for a living it is not called a job …it is an enjoyment that I hope I can continue to do for many more years.
My name is Tammy and I’m a 46 year old mother of two boys. I became a Driving Instructor 4 1/2 years ago after attending Humber College in Etobicoke and started working for Valley Driver Training in April 2014. I have a lot of patience and I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals. This is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had!
Hi, my name is Leigh Ann and I am the newest member of the Valley Driver Training team.
I have been a professional driver in Sudbury for the past 20 years, and have worked as a school bus driver and for the city as well. I enjoy sharing my experience with the students and entertaining them with my stories too. I look forward to working with you.
Hi, I’m Aline and the person you first meet when you call or come into Valley Driver Training. I manage the administration of the business. It is my goal to do my best to accommodate all of the students’ needs and any parents’ concerns. My hope is that I help to make Valley Driver Training a wonderful place for new drivers and an experience that our students will remember for a long time to come.
