My name is Shelley Moir, and I am the new owner of Valley Driver Training. I was somewhat of a late bloomer, in that I did not get my Driver’s Licence until I was 25 years old. But once I experienced the freedom of being able to go where I want, whenever I wanted too, I asked myself “Why did I wait so long?” I discovered that I love to drive. Couple that with my enjoyment of teaching, going into the driver education field just seemed the right path for me to follow. I have been an instructor with Valley Driver Training for the last 13 years. But my story does not end there. I have become involved with the Driving Assessment and Rehab Services program where I have opportunities to work with drivers who have had their licences medically suspended and are working towards reinstatement. I also work closely with Canadian Pro Drivers, in their corporate division focusing on Defensive Driving Techniques for the professional driver. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment for me. I am proud to be the new owner of this business and hope to carry on it’s strong tradition of being “Sudbury’s favourite driving school.”
